10 Ways To Use Thieves Soft Scrub

Did you know that most soft scrubs you buy at the store rate an F or D on the EWG website. They contain fragrances and chemicals that can aggravate allergies, headaches, and asthma. The chemicals are also known endocrine disrupters, which means that they can mess with our hormones!

This is my favorite DIY soft scrub and you can use it for so many things! It’s only 3 ingredients, it’s plant based, and you don’t need gloves to use it! I use my hands most of the time.

Basic Soft Scrub Recipe

1 cup baking soda

2 Caps Thieves Cleaner

Water

Optional: 10 drops essential oil (I like lemon or grapefruit.)

Add baking soda to a dish and break up any clumps. Add the Thieves cleaner and stir with a fork. Slowly add water 1 tsp at a time until you get your desired consistency. I like mine to be like mashed potatoes. Store in an airtight container. You can watch me make it here.

Here are my top 10 ways to use this magic, plant based scrub in your home!

1) Clean your stainless steel or ceramic sink. Use a scrub brush or your hands.

2) Clean your stovetop and/or oven.

3) Use it on your pots, pans, and baking sheets that have cooked on food. I use this every night when I do the dishes.

4) Use on tile and grout. To help with mildew, add a few drops of tea tree oil.

5) Clean your glass shower door. Clean in circular motions, wipe with a rag, rinse, and squeegee off.

6) Use in place of a magic eraser. (Add a few drops of lemon to remove marker or pencil from the wall.)

7) Use to remove stains on clothing. Place a small plate under the fabric and rub the paste onto the fabric with a clean brush. Wash as usual.

8) Use in place of Goo Gone. Great at getting stickers off glass.

9) Use to clean your toilets. Put a few scoops in the bottom of the bowl and scrub at usual with your toilet brush.

10) Clean your outdoor grill. Gets all the gunk off the outside and trays!
