Taste Test: Healthier Drinks I’ve been loving lately (and some I don’t)!

I’ve become one of those high maintenance people that talks about the purity of coffee! Let’s get real for a minute. I’m 45 years old and I love my morning coffee and I know it’s important to have the ‘good stuff’ for my health and mental health too. I started drinking decaf a few months ago, along with some other things to support my hormones. (You can read about that here.) I also always have a beverage with me! Anyone else?

I have tested a ton of drinks the past few months and I wanted to share my favorite (and not so favorites) if you are looking for a new coffee or electrolyte drink, you have come to the right place! Keep reading to see my favorites along with when and how I drink them! Plus, a few I tested and probably won’t buy again!

Purity Coffee

This is the BEST decaf coffee I have found that is also organic. They use a Swiss water process to make it caffeine free instead of chemicals. They also test the coffee and guarantee there is zero mold! I drink this every morning and make it in my french press!

Ryze Mushroom Coffee

I really wanted to like this, but I’d have to say after going through a whole package, I didn’t see much difference in how I felt and it’s rather pricey. They say it helps with bloating and I did not see a difference in that. It tasted good, but I probably will not purchase it again. They do have a 30 day money back guarantee if you want to try it. Let me know your thoughts!

Ultima Electrolyte Powder

I have tried lots of electrolyte powders and this is my absolute favorite. It dissolves easily and I love every single flavor. I’m partial to the cherry pomegranate, but they all taste good. It’s sugar free and a great way to add flavor to your water. My kids drink these too! I drink it all day long in my Stanley! It keeps me hydrated and helps me drink more!

Ningxia Red

I drink this antioxidant drink every day as my multivitamin and sweat treat after lunch! I love to sip this after I eat to get my vitamins (I hate swallowing extra pills.) and it gives me natural energy in the afternoons. I drink 4 oz with seltzer or sometimes just drink it straight up! Clevr Sleepy Latte

This is my new nighttime obsession. Not only am I always trying to get better sleep, I love to have a sweet treat after dinner, but don’t need to be eating cookies every night. This is a mild latte with sleepy herbs that tastes like a hot cocoa. Oprah also loves it, so that means it’s good right? Haha! I add water from the tea kettle and use this whisk to mix it!

Athletic Brewing Co.

I stopped drinking alcohol last March. It just wasn’t agreeing with me on any level. I do however love a beer on Friday night with Joe and this non alcoholic beer that’s brewed in Connecticut is so yummy! They have seasonal flavors and the light one only has 25 calories! Bonus, you can buy it on Amazon if you aren’t local! I keep a glass in the freezer and serve it with a slice of lime! I’m telling you, you won’t miss the alcohol!

Javy Coffee

This is my go to for a strong iced coffee. This concentrate is so easy to make iced coffee without the hassle. I use this in my pumpkin cream cold brew recipe. I get the decaf version. You can use code SARAH20 to get 20% off your first order!

Mixhers

I tried the Mixhers in a several flavors! This brand markets to women and have drink powders to support our cycles and hormones. I do think they are rather pricey. I love the coconut lime the best. I tried a few other flavors (the greens and the pom mango) and didn’t love the taste. This will be an occasional purchase for me. The Hertime option is supposed to support you during your cycle, but I used for two months and didn’t see much difference.

Daily Prebiotic Fiber

I’m really trying to get more fiber in my life and realized that a supplement would be helpful. This one from Young Living is easy to use and has a yummy flavor. Fiber drinks tend to clump, so make sure to dissolve in hot water then add to your drink or ice before drinking. I feel much better when I’m using this every day!

What would you add to this list? Anything you have tried recently that I need to add to my rotation? Tell me in the comments!

XO

Sarah
