Baking Soda Face Scrub
Sharing this easy DIY for a gentle face scrub! I love to make this in the winter, it’s like a gentle micro dermabrasion for way less money! All you need is baking soda, water, and essential oils of your choice. I like to make a small container to keep in the shower and I use it every few days. Your skin will feel so good afterwards! Here is the recipe! Watch me make it here!
Baking Soda Face Scrub
1/2 cup baking soda
5 drops essential oil of your choice ( lavender, frankincense, or geranium are great choices)
1-2 T water
Directions:
Add baking soda and essential oils to a small bowl. I like to use a fork to mix it up. Then slowly add the water until it makes a paste. You may need more or less to get the paste consistency. If it gets too wet, just add a little more baking soda. Store in an airtight jar. Use every few days. Apply warm water to face and a small amount of scrub. Rub in circular motion over face and neck and rinse. Follow with moisturizer of choice. I use my DIY glow serum! You can see how I make that here.
Bonus recipe for you, because you won’t want to go through the winter without this either! I have been using this glow serum exclusively on my skin for almost four years! I used to shop at Sephora and spend a ton of money to find the perfect combo but this is better than any pricey thing I bought before. Plus, no chemicals mean I’m not messing with my allergies or hormones every day.
Glow Serum
2 oz dropper bottle
10 drops each lavender + frankincense
Top with carrier oil (I use organic jojoba or organic rose hip.)
Here is a list of oils for skin based on skin type!
I’d love to know if you make either of these and what you think!
Here’s to glowing winter skin!
